A long time ago I wanted to be a “film person”. This meant that IF I could get into the film industry, it wouldn’t matter what I did, as long as I was in the industry. Then I met “Life”. Life told me that I could still daydream and believe and even have faith in that I one day would become a film person.
BUT what Life didn’t tell me was that I would have to wait. Like seriously put my dreams and skills and literally my whole life on hold. This image was taken back in 2011 when a friend from film school asked if I wanted to help the crew with a scene they were shooting for a short film. I gladly accepted and went and so did my daughter.
My daughter had to be about 12 years old and didn’t really care for the excitement and back story that came out of me without being asked about. I talked about how I met the people that we were about to meet up with and the projects we all worked on. She seemed uninterested, but I didn’t care because what mattered was that I was back in the scene!
That was probably one of many odd projects I’ve had a little part of and I am still hopeful that one day it becomes a full time job that makes all of my daydreaming worthwhile.
Xoxo
